The latest range of programmable DC power supplies from Magna-Power Electronics is now available in the UK from Telonic Instruments.

The latest range of programmable DC power supplies from Magna-Power Electronics is now available in the UK from Telonic Instruments The PQD Series comprises a broad line of high-density rack-mount, DC switching power supplies ranging from 3.3 to 10kW

The series features 54 models with output voltages ranging from 5 to 1000V DC and currents ranging from 5 to 900A.

The new series uses the field proven, power processing engine of the PQ Series along with multiprocessor digital control for an awesome combination of features, power, performance and ruggedness.

The PQD Series power supplies have both stepless analogue and digital control.

The unit can be programmed from the front panel, through a rear connector, or through RS232 communications.

An optional IEEE488 to RS232 convertor, Ethernet to RS232 convertor, or other communications convertor is available to change the communications protocol.

Remote interface software is supplied to enable communications with the power supply.

Calibration can be performed from the front panel.

100 memory states are available to program voltage, current, overvoltage trip, overcurrent trip and time period.

Setpoints can be auto sequenced with time or external triggering and with proper programming the unit can operate as a power function generator.

PQD Series power supplies incorporate an optically isolated feedback system enabling control circuitry to be referenced to earth.

This eliminates earth loops with user interface control schemes.

The power supplies can be combined for master/slave parallel and series operation to allow one power supply to control combinations of others.
