Another benefit of the TNETC405 reference design also enables customers to differentiate their products with value-added features.
These can be done through TI's unique DOCSIS software API architecture and modular hardware design.

The new solution builds upon TI's award-winning data cable modem offerings.
It features DOCSIS 1.1, the TNETC4305 communications processor, the TNETC4042A integrated DOCSIS physical layer (PHY) and media access controller (MAC).
The TNETC405 solution is currently available, and the TNETC4305, TNETC4042A and DOCSIS1.1 software bundle is sampling now, with volume production expected in 3Q2001.
The TNETC4305, TNETC4042A and DOCSIS 1.1 will be offered for suggested resale price of $26 each in quantities of 100,000.
TI offers one stop data cable modem shopping solutions for DOCSIS1.1 hardware and software.
TI has developed a full-range of customer support tools for the TNETC405 solution including application notes, production files and board support package (BSP).
