Zhone Technologies is to work with Texas Instruments to provide high-density ADSL infrastructure systems for field trials with leading operators worldwide.

Zhone Technologies is to work with Texas Instruments to provide high-density ADSL infrastructure systems for the delivery of voice, video and data services for field trials with leading operators worldwide Zhone's next-generation ADSL infrastructure solutions for DSL access multiplexers (DSLAMs) and digital loop carriers (DLCs) will leverage TI technology to increase the deployment of ADSL in the global market

"We credit Zhone's success in worldwide ADSL trials with leading PTTs as a result of the work we have been doing with Texas Instruments and their leading ADSL technology", said David Markowitz, assistant vice president of marketing at Zhone Technologies.

"By combining our strengths, Zhone and TI are able to provide the highest densities for DSLAMs and DLCs with additional services and features to expand ADSL deployments".

Zhone's Broadband Access Node (BAN) platform for DSL, including high-speed data and voice transmission, use TI's DSL infrastructure products including the AC5 octal chipset.

With the goal of providing the highest densities in central offices and DLCs, Zhone's innovative platform combined with TI's robust technology roadmap will continue to provide leading DSL infrastructure solutions that will provide increased functionality and revenue streams for service providers.
