AUP offers the industry's lowest power logic technology, with a current consumption of 0.9mA of static ICC, and a typical CPD of 4.5pF, without sacrificing speed and signal integrity while maintaining a wide operating range of 0.8 to 3.6V for mixed mode environments.
Along with power, speed remains a critical aspect of portable application designs.
AUP provides the best speed-power technology of choice in the industry, with typical propagation delays of 2.0ns at 3.3V (3.0ns at 1.8V).
Compromising signal integrity is not an issue with AUP as tightly controlled output-signal edge rates yield excellent signal integrity; thus offering very low EMI.
Additionally, AUP's built-in hysteresis at the data inputs provide for enhanced noise immunity.
"Our customers are concerned with their overall system power budget and logic functions should not be a large consumer of power in any system design.
Our goal was to provide the market with a next generation logic family, designed for low voltage battery powered applications that consume less power than any other low voltage logic option.
We did so with AUP", stated David Hoover, Worldwide Product Marketing Manager for TI's Standard Linear and Logic Division.
TI will initially offer AUP in configurable Little Logic functions.
The SN74AUP1G57, SN74AUP1G58, SN74AUP1G97 and SN74AUP1G98 are all currently available to sample along with the SN74AUP1G08.
TI plans to offer AUP in all of its small-scale Little Logic package offerings, including NanoFree WCSP technology.
Budgetary pricing for the device is set at $0.11 in quantities of 1000.
