A TES product story
Edited by the Electronicstalk editorial team Feb 1, 2005

TES has acquired the Toulouse based component analysis business from LCIE.

TES (Technology Electronic Solutions) has acquired the Toulouse based component analysis business from LCIE.

TES will offer component analysis services to customers both as a stand alone service and also as an integral part of its design and manufacturing services.

The group will be integrated into TES's CEACI (Centre of Evaluation of Information Security) group in Toulouse.

CEACI provides services for the qualification of security products.

This acquisition will enable it to offer new services to existing customers and add value to the TES customer base.

This acquisition re-enforces TES' commitment to provide a full spectrum of advanced electronic design and manufacturing services.

"Component analysis is a very important and integral part of design and manufacturing offering", said Michel Desbard, President of TES.

He continued: "Such a service is key to ensuring design for quality and fully understanding product performance issues".

TES was formed in December 2004 through the acquisition of Thales Electronic Solutions (TES) business by a group of investors.

The company employs over 600 people throughout France, Germany and the UK and provides global contract design and manufacturing services.

LCIE decided to divest this activity in order to focus on its core business of evaluation and certification of electronic products.

The acquisition became effective on 1st January 2005.
