Acquisition expands IC design services

TES Electronic Solutions has added process and device characterisation to its broad range of semiconductor design services with the acquisition of the assets and key employees of DAnalyse.

TES Electronic Solutions (TES) has added process and device characterisation to its broad range of semiconductor design services with the acquisition of the assets and key employees of DAnalyse.

The acquisition and integration of the DAnalyse facilities with the existing TES Design Centre in Berlin is part of the company's investment programme to expand the range and depth of its design services and enhance support for its customers.

The new modelling and characterisation capabilities allow TES to develop devices, particularly mixed-signal, analogue and RF chips that deliver optimum performance from the process with reliable, predicable characteristics.

The Berlin Design Centre is now equipped to offer: characterisation of semiconductor devices and processes; wafer-level reliability test; fault analysis of microelectronic circuits; modelling and parameterisation of automotive components; simulation of vehicle systems; development of CAE software solutions; and technical consultancy.

Dr Dietmar Warning, Manager of the Berlin Design Centre, said: "The capabilities brought to the TES global network by the acquisition of DAnalyse are an ideal complement to TES's established design services".

This IP offering includes wireless communications software, ASIC IP building blocks and reference designs based on international standards.
