The RA2064x airborne VME rack is a compact off-the-shelf solution for avionics applications, meets the RTCA/DO-160D standard for avionic equipment and is suitable for use in a pressurised cabin.

The RA2064x is a 19in 2U airborne VME rack that provides a compact off-the-shelf solution for avionics applications, meets the RTCA/DO-160D standard for avionic equipment and is suitable for use within a pressurised cabin.

The convection-cooled RA2064x rack from Thales Computers has an operating temperature range of -40 to +65C.

The front panel of the new rack features output voltage indicators (+5, +12, -12, +3.3V), an on/off switch with a protection mechanism to prevent accidental switching, and access to two internal SCSI 3.5in disk drives and a Flash solid-state drive.

The rear panel includes a MIL-C-38999 power connector and provides access to a four-slot VME64x backplane (6U horizontal assembly).

The new 19in airborne VME rack is available with a choice of power supplies: the RA2064x-M28 features a 28V DC power supply, while the RA2064x-M220 features an 85-265V AC (47-53 Hz) power supply.

Pricing for the new rack starts at $11,434.

Delivery is 8 to 10 weeks ARO.
