He served as Chairman of two Thales subsidiaries, Thales Microwave from 1999 until 2002 and Thales Electronics System Solutions-Scotland from 2002 until 2004 and has held senior management positions within Thales Electronic Devices which engineers and manufactures a wide array of electronic tubes for aerospace, defence and security uses.
Baud holds a degree in engineering from the Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble in France.
