Axiohm manufactures a range of thermal printing mechanisms, receipt and label printers, kiosk printers and embedded firmware.
In 1979 Trident Displays was one of the first distributors to supply production volumes of basic seven-segment and simple custom LCDs in the UK.
Trident has since become one of Varitronix' leading distributors.
Many of Trident's original customers for basic LCDs more than 20 years ago are still using Varitronix displays and some of the earliest custom display designs are still in production today.
To date, Trident has managed more than 2300 custom LCD projects with 40% of these still being used in volume by UK manufacturers.
"Varitronix' advantage in the past 25 years has been consistent quality and their willingness to invest in new production equipment", said Jim Hemsley, Technical Director at Trident Displays.
"The new plant at He Yuan will significantly increase their module and custom module capability and we are looking forward to continuing our successful relationship with them".
In recognition of Trident's long-standing support, Jim Hemsley and Graham Grover, Managing Director, were both honoured with a seat at the top table at Varitronix' gala dinner, along with the company's founder, Dr CC Chang and the other directors.
