A new 3.8in quarter-VGA monochrome STN display boasts high brightness, long life and a wide operating temperature range for use in control panels for advanced home appliances and other equipment.

A new 3.8in quarter-VGA monochrome STN display boasts high brightness, long life and a wide operating temperature range for use in control panels for advanced home appliances and other consumer or professional equipment These include security systems, printers and photocopiers, and handheld information devices

The Hitachi SP10Q010 from Trident display has a 110cd/m2 white LED backlight that enhances display brightness and clarity for user comfort and convenience.

Optional transmissive and reflective modes further aid designers configuring solutions for different lighting conditions.

Touchscreen functionality is also available as an option.

Compared with standard chip-on-board LCDs, the SP10Q010 delivers up to 30% longer lifetime.

With chip-on-glass technology and high quality manufacturing processes, it achieves high MTBF of 198.9kh.

The 320 x 240 pixel display also has a compact form factor, measuring 94.7 x 73.3mm, with a thickness of 5.5mm.

The operating temperature range is -20 to +70C, making it suitable for high-stress environments including industrial installations, outdoor applications, washer/dryers, domestic and industrial refrigeration units, and many other advanced products requiring easy and convenient user interfaces and controls.
