Quarter-VGA displays have frugal
backlights
New 4.7in quarter-VGA displays combine white LED backlighting with enhanced black and white film STN construction to deliver high optical performance.
Two new 4.7in quarter-VGA displays from Trident combine white LED backlighting for low power operation and a wide operating temperature range, with enhanced black and white film STN construction delivering high optical performance The Hitachi SP12Q01L6ALZZ and ST12Q01L6ALZZ are featured for applications such as white goods appliances, industrial process control, test and measurement and EPOS terminals

The same mounting holes and mechanical outline dimensions have been maintained to provide customers with an easy upgrade path.
The new display modules offer an improved operating temperature range of -20 to +70C, and enhanced optical performance in a robust, compact and lightweight module.
The new modules are available in transmissive or transflective modes, and deliver a maximum light output of 120cd/m2 in transmissive mode.
Both modules are fully compliant with the Reduction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive.
