TFT panels boast above-average specifications

A new range of high spec TFT panels is now available from Trident following the signing of a new distribution contract.

A new range of high spec TFT panels is now available from Trident following the signing of a new distribution contract.

The agreement with AU Optronic of Taiwan will enable Trident to supply a wide range of panels throughout Europe including the UK, the Nordic region, Italy and the Benelux countries.

Following the agreement, Martin Cobb, Product Manager at Trident commented: "By adding AU Optronic to our portfolio we will be able to offer our customers a wide choice of high quality panels with above average specifications".

"Additionally, customers will find that the company's European support division offers guarantees about product life, obsolescence notification and price stability where possible".

Formed in 2001, AU Optronics has grown to be a leading supplier of high performance TFTs.

The range available from Trident includes an 8.4in panel with three different brightness options, two of which come with four-wire resistive touch-screen attached and an option with driver card built-in offering both LVDS and analogue RGB inputs.

The 10.4in range has brightness levels from 180 to 1500cd sunlight readable.

High specification 15, 17, 19 and 20.1in 4:3 panels and 26, 32, 37 and 46in widescreen TV panels are also available.
