Business development award for display distributor

Display distributor wins "Outstanding Business Development in 2006" award for work in Nordic region.

Toshiba Electronics has given Trident Displays in the Nordic region an award for "Outstanding Business Development in 2006".

Trident was appointed as a Toshiba distributor in 2004, and its performance in 2006 was described as exceptional.

Ian Wilson, Distribution Sales Manager for Toshiba states that: "To develop so many significant customer projects in one year reflects a high level of expertise within the company".

In accepting the award, Trident commented on the growing number of new TFT displays available from Toshiba.

These new panels have allowed Trident to service an increased number of existing and new customers.

The Nordic region for TFT is the fastest growing market in the area of smaller panels; and Trident is able to target this market with new innovative panels from 2.2 up to 12.1in (5.6 to 30.7cm) from Toshiba.

Mats Sjobrand, Nordic Sales Manager for Trident, comments: "The Toshiba range compliments other products within the Trident portfolio such as touch screens, customised cables, driver cards, power supplies and SBCs".

"Customers benefit from this vast product offering and the significant expertise Trident has within its Nordic sales team".

In presenting the award, Ian Wilson congratulated Trident and commented that 2007 would also be an exciting year as the product range continues to expand with many new panel sizes along with the introduction of LED backlit devices, integrated touch screen options along with anti-reflective and sunlight readable coatings.
