A new brochure describes the innovative Blind Mate "plug-in and forget" quick-release antenna mount The new device improves system reliability, maintainability and serviceability and mission equipment role changes are simplified

The Blind Mate system enables avionic and electronic warfare antennas to be quickly installed and removed from platforms without having to connect or disconnect the coaxial cable.

Most existing antennas can be easily converted to the new Blind Mate system by simply attaching a screw-on alignment sleeve.

The new device eliminates the need for a cable service loop thereby reducing insertion loss.

Mechanical vibration loads are also transferred from the coaxial interconnecting cables to the airframe via the mounting bracket and receiving sleeve.

Blind Mate antenna systems are uniquely designed for each application by Times Microwave systems engineers.
