Portable, programmable micro-ohmmeter
The compact bench-top 5891 programmable micro-ohmmeter can be used for a wide range of measurement tasks.
The compact bench-top 5891 programmable micro-ohmmeter can be used for a number of tasks including cable resistance measurement, contact resistance measurement of connectors, switches, relays and similar components in accordance with standards, inductive resistance measurement in transformer and electric motor windings, and the measurement of thermistors and other heat-sensitive components.
In addition it can perform ground continuity and metallic coating measurements.
Operating from mains supply or optional rechargeable batteries the unit provides four-wire resistance measurement from 0.1uohm to 200kohm with an accuracy of 0.03% percent and resolution to 0.1uohm.
Measurement current is 10uA to 10A with a choice of three current values for each range, and there is a temperature compensation option for display of the measured resistance value relative to 20C for copper or aluminium.
Up to 1000 measurements can be stored together with their average, minimum and maximum values.
Other standard features include programmable analogue output, programmable limits and an RS232 interface, with IEEE488 interface optional.
