Punch down and earth strap for connector
The RJ-LnxxT IP67 rated, sealed, industrial RJ-45 connectors, available in the UK from Aerco, are now available with IDC punch down and earth strap terminations.
It is designed to be crimped to the end of an internal 68-pin ribbon cable, replacing the standard female bulkhead connector with a panel mount VHDCI 68-pin connector.
If no device is attached to the InvisiTerm's external VHDCI connector, U320 Multimode (LVD/SE) termination is enabled.
Within milliseconds after a device has been added, the InvisiTerm senses it and disables termination, allowing the SCSI bus signals to pass through to the new device.
If the new device is removed, InvisiTerm instantly re-enables termination.
With InvisiTerm installed inside a disk subsystem, SCSI termination issues are a thing of the past.
TMC can provide the InvisiTerm board to OEMs and system integrators that build their own cable assemblies in house, or as a part of a complete internal SCSI cable, built to customer specifications.
