A Touch Technologies product story
Edited by the Electronicstalk editorial team Sep 20, 2007

Touchscreen products are suitable for anything from small portable devices to larger screens required by applications such as games, POS terminals and white goods.

Touch Technologies can now supply the UK with a full range of touchscreen solutions from Netherland's based Sky Technology Group.

With years of experience, and now the broadest product range in the market, Touch Technologies delivers touchscreen products for anything from small portable devices to larger screens required by applications such as games, POS terminals and white goods.

Some of the most popular touch solutions include: capacitive, resistive (four and five wire), surface acoustic wave, infra-red, toughtouch, projected capacitive and matrix touchscreens.

According to Marco van der Linden, MD of Touch Technologies, the UK touch market has numerous manufacturers and distributors offering limited number of touch solutions.

"Over the years the industry has become incredibly competitive and customers had to deal with many suppliers, all offering different types of touchscreen technologies".

"By partnering with Sky Technology, we source globally and have the right products for every application and also offer customised products that address the most challenging applications, no-one else in the market offers this in one place", adds van der Linden.

Touch Technologies combines expertise and range to deliver highest quality touchscreens, in a broad range of screen sises, for system integrators, OEMs and value added resellers.

"We are delighted with signing Touch Technologies as a partner and expanding our activities", says Bart-Jan Dolsma, MD of Sky Technology Group.

"This is a very exciting time for the group".

"Although touchscreen technology has been around for more than three decades and is considered a mature technology, it continues to transform access to complex computer and electronic systems in an age dominated by digital media", adds Dolsma.

Touch can be used by anyone regardless of language, education or socioeconomic or cultural background, bridging the gap between today's sophisticated hardware and the untrained user.
