EDA startup to come out at DATE

A Teklatech product story
Edited by the Electronicstalk editorial team Feb 26, 2008

Patented technology enables companies to eliminate costly silicon respins and achieve faster time to market, leading to smaller, faster and more profitable semiconductor products.

Startup EDA company Teklatech will debut its new EDA software tool FloorDirector at the DATE show in Munich.

Using its new floorplanning and clock distribution technology, semiconductor vendors can overcome critical dynamic voltage drops which can result in unpredictable signal integrity and noise effects that can cause silicon failure.

Teklatech's patented technology enables companies to eliminate costly silicon respins and achieve faster time to market, leading to smaller, faster and more profitable semiconductor products, effectively exploiting the full potential of nanometre technologies.

Visitors to DATE will be able to see demos of the FloorDirector software tool, using real-world multiprocessor SoC designs.

According to founder and CEO Dr Tobias Bjerregaard: "FloorDirector is the next evolutionary step in floorplanning and clock distribution technology".

"With this breakthrough technology Teklatech is focused on meeting the stringent demands of next-generation semiconductor designs".

Privately held, Teklatech has received funding from world-class venture capital firms and industry leaders.
