Expansion for European team

Torex Semiconductor Europe has appointed Juan Sivelo and John Cross as European Strategic Accounts Manager and European Applications Manager, respectively.

Backed by excellent performance figures, Torex Semiconductor Europe, the European arm of one of the world's leading manufacturer of power management IC technology, has appointed Juan Sivelo and John Cross as European Strategic Accounts Manager and European Applications Manager, respectively.

The two new appointments strengthen the company's commercial strategy for Europe ensuring sales will continue to grow significantly in 2003.

Gareth Henson, Torex Semiconductor Europe's Managing Director, views the new appointments as the next important step in the company's development: "We are now starting to make our presence felt in the European market.

More and more OEMs are aware of who we are and, more importantly, what we have to offer.

The two new appointments reflect our need to expand resources to keep pace with customer demand.

They give us the strength in-depth we need to continue with our growth".

Commenting on his appointment, Juan Sivelo said: "Torex is very well established with large OEM accounts in Japan and Asia but the European market is relatively unchartered.

This gives Torex a great opportunity for rapid growth in Europe".

According to John Cross, Torex Semiconductor Europe's first dedicated Applications Manager, "Torex offers an exciting product portfolio that is quickly developing in diverse market sectors".

Cross will use his in-depth applications, field sales and business management knowledge to look after customers, supporting them both technically and commercially.

Sivelo added, "Torex's range of products fulfil a growing demand in power management.

As end products like cell phones and set top boxes must increase their functionality without increasing the power consumption, power management becomes critical".
