Ryoichi Shikama is the new President of Toshiba Electronics Europe.

Ryoichi Shikama is the new President of Toshiba Electronics Europe.

He joins Toshiba Electronics Europe from the headquarters of Toshiba's Semiconductor Company in Tokyo, where he was the General Manager of the Greater China Strategy Department for the Electronic Device Sales and Marketing Division.

Shikama holds a degree in commerce from Waseda University in Japan and has been with Toshiba since 1980.

During his career he has had a number of senior roles at Toshiba's offices outside of Japan, including management positions in Hong Kong and Singapore.

Between 2000 and 2002 Shikama was the Managing Director of Toshiba Electronics Asia.

Based at the Toshiba Electronics Europe headquarters in Dusseldorf, Shikama takes over the position of president from Toshio Hamaya, who has held the role since 2001.
