Binks gains European responsibility

Toshiba Electronics Europe has appointed Colin Binks as General Manager for the company's Channel Foundation Segment.

Toshiba Electronics Europe has appointed Colin Binks as General Manager for the company's Channel Foundation Segment.

The role gives Binks overall European responsibility for distribution, contract manufacturing customers and sales to the retail channel.

In his new role, Binks will be tasked with growing European distribution business and building and maintaining relationships with European companies operating in the EMS (electronic contract manufacturing services) arena.

In addition he will be responsible for growing brand awareness and sales in the retail sector through consumer products such as Toshiba's range of memory cards.

Binks began his career with Toshiba Electronics as a distribution Field Sales Engineer.

Since then he has held a number of key roles including UK distribution manager.

Prior to this new role, Binks was the company's Senior Manager for European Distribution Sales.
