Microcontroller meets needs of modern appliances
Toshiba Electronics Europe has launched a flash microcontroller specifically designed to meet the needs of modern home appliance applications including washing machines, dryers, and dishwashers.
The address will cover requirements to best combine highly integrated SoCs and sophisticated software stacks in a timely manner.
A key aspect of this approach is the need to establish a hardware/software codevelopment/verification environment with ESL design methodologies and an IP reuse platform where various functions are realised on an SoC by legacy subsystems with a low-power multiprocessor architecture.
Dr Furuyama will explain that the challenge gets more complicated in deep sub-100nm technology nodes and will present approaches to these complex problems from different aspects.
