Toumaz Technology has signed a licence agreement to deliver IP for the design of certain subsystems (or circuit blocks) for a low power radio chip being developed by Roke Manor Research.
Roke Manor Research is wholly owned by Siemens and works in a range of markets across the civil and defence arenas and employs some of the world's most talented engineers and scientists.
Based in Romsey on the south coast of England, Roke Manor Research develops novel solutions to demanding customer problems, and produces the communications and electronic sensor technology it needs to be leaders in its field.
Commenting on the deal, Keith Errey, CEO of Toumaz Technology, said: "This contract provides Roke Manor Research access to proven RF semiconductor IP enabling them to get to get to market earlier at lower cost".
"It is a very strong validation of the Toumaz technology and the strength of our design team".
"An early return in advance of actual product sales is good news for our investors and confirms management's view of the attractiveness and value of the low power technology".
