Tpack has been named as one of the first companies to receive the Metro Ethernet Forum's MEF 14 certification This certifies that Tpack's Carrier Ethernet reference systems comply with Metro Ethernet Forum requirements established in the MEF 14 Abstract Test Suite for Traffic Management Phase 1 for EPL, EVPL and E-LAN Ethernet Services

The MEF 14 tests were performed by Iometrix and the devices under test were Tpack's Coleburn 40Gbit/s Carrier Class Ethernet reference system and Millburn 6Gbit/s Carrier Class Ethernet reference system, which are also certified in compliance with MEF 9.

Based on the Tpack TPX3000 40Gbit/s carrier packet engine solution, the Coleburn reference system is designed for customer demonstration and evaluation of Tpack Carrier Ethernet switching technology.

The reference system supports Ethernet, IP/MPLS, VPLS and PWE3 with full application software and a GUI element manager.

This allows rapid configuration of the switch, as well as advanced quality of service features per flow.
