Now that Trumpf is about to launch a brand new series of TrumaBend press brakes to the UK, the company has also confirmed the appointment of an applications engineer for pressbrake work.

Concurrent with the news that Trumpf is about to launch a brand new series of TrumaBend press brakes to the UK, the company has also confirmed the appointment of a specialist applications engineer for bending He is Neil Smyth who qualified in mechanical and production engineering whilst serving a five year apprenticeship with the British Standards Institute in Hemel Hempstead

After a period as a design draughtsman with Barlett Catering Equipment he was promoted to senior technical engineer and ultimately drawing office manager with the company before joining Trumpf in Spring.

Based in Luton, his new role includes training, demonstrating and troubleshooting.

Neil will naturally be involved in the launch of the new TrumaBend E series in the UK which is scheduled for early Autumn.

The 'E' suffix signifies this range has electromechanical drives.

These press brakes have been designed specifically for the high precision production of thin sheet parts.
