TS Technology Services has appointed John Phillips as Repair Operations Director at its main Solihull facility.

TS Technology Services has appointed John Phillips as Repair Operations Director at its main Solihull facility.

In his new role, Phillips is responsible for developing and implementing testing and repair services for major technology companies in the telecomms and communications industry.

This includes screening, maintenance and repair of complex equipment used in the telecoms and communications industry including satellite communications, microwave radio systems and mobile communications equipment.

Phillips joins TS after 12 years as head of Network Operations for TeleWest in the South of England prior to which he worked with the Royal Signals Regiment on military communications systems around the world.

Commenting on this senior appointment, Kevin Scott-Cowell, MD of TS Technology Services said the company was committed to expanding their test and repair facilities for customers across the UK and Europe and Phillips' appointment as Test and Repair Director was a major step in achieving this goal.

"Our services are in increasing demand as major technology providers continue to out-source their telecomms and technical support services such as test and repair etc to specialised companies such as TS, allowing them to concentrate on their own core businesses more effectively", said Scott-Cowell.

In his spare time, Phillips is also Chairman and Founder of the Worcester Warriors Rugby Supporters Club - the team is currently performing well in the premiership division.

He also played rugby and cricket at county level for Worcester for several years.

He is married with a son and two daughters.
