The MK4004GAH 40Gbyte 1.8in hard disk drive is the size of a credit card and weighs only 62g, providing significant storage for next generation multimedia applications such as digital video cameras.

The MK4004GAH 40Gbyte 1.8in hard disk drive is the size of a credit card and weighs only 62g, providing significant storage for next generation multimedia applications such as digital video cameras, wearable computers and automotive jukebox systems.

The drive is highly ruggedised and durable, with operating shock resistance of 200g, making it extremely suitable for demanding environments.

It is also a more cost effective storage solution than traditional storage technologies such as Flash and other less powerful HDDs, exceeding other storage products on a cost-per-megabyte and portability basis.

Available immediately, products based on Toshiba's 1.8in technology include mobile entertainment devices, MP3 players, handheld computers, ultraportable notebooks, portable handheld GPS units, automotive jukebox systems and other specialised digital devices.
