The industry standard 170 x 170mm Ibase MB860 is a commercially available low cost evaluation platform that allows Transmeta's customers to get a fast start using the latest technologies in the development of a wide range of devices, such as set-top boxes, thin clients, silent desktops, media servers, network routers and a host of additional small form factor applications.
With the 1GHz Efficeon processor and SO-DIMM DDR modules to support up to 1Gbyte memory, the MB860 provides the performance required by today's demanding applications.
A built-in ATI M7 graphics controller with 16Mbyte of onboard memory delivers compelling performance in 3D games and graphics intensive applications.
"Transmeta is pleased to announce the availability of the Ibase MB860 providing customers a cost effective platform for evaluating the high performance Efficeon processor", said Arthur L Swift, Senior Vice President of Marketing at Transmeta.
"In addition, the MB860 is ideally suited for rapid integration into new products requiring power efficiency and a fast time to market".
The MB860 Mini-ITX single board computer also features four USB 2.0 ports that support a data transfer rate of 480Mbit/s and network connectivity either through the onboard Realtek controller 8100C 10/100BaseT Ethernet controller or the optional 8110S Gigabit Ethernet controller.
Added expandability is provided by a PCI slot, four serial ports and an optional Mini PCI socket.
The Ibase MB860 is available now.
