Low-cost resistors maintain audio quality

A BI Technologies SMT product story

The BPR range of planar, noninductive power resistors is proving to be a big hit with audio engineers for loudspeaker crossovers and amplifiers.

The BPR range of planar, noninductive power resistors from TT Electronics - BI Technologies has proven to be a big hit with audio engineers for loudspeaker crossovers and amplifiers.

Independent tests by audio engineers report the transition from high cost sand-cast resistors to the much lower cost BPR and BPC resistors bring not only serious cost savings but also "clearer sound quality as the resistors have no sound of there own, they have absolutely no inductance and sounds very fast with solid mids and airy highs, outperforming the very best the audio industry has been using, including sand-cast resistors".
