Power resistors run up to 100W
Two new ranges of non-inductive planar power resistors have been released by TT electronics - BI Technologies of Glenrothes.
Resistances range from 0.1ohm to 200kohm, with a tolerance of +/-5% (standard) and +/-1% (optional).
Applications are found in areas such as switching power supplies, snubbers, in-rush current suppressors and current limiters.
Maximum operating voltage is 500V, maximum temperature coefficient of resistance +/-100ppm/C and the operating temperature range is -55 to +155C.
Specially designed for use in high mechanical shock and vibration environments, their vertical mounting ensures good heat dissipation without the need for high temperature solder and saves valuable board space.
The resistors, which can be supplied in trays of 20 to 50, are manufactured in the ISO9001/TS16949-approved plant of TT Electronics BI Technologies in Glenrothes, Scotland.
