TTI's UK and Ireland operation is charged with growing business this year by a huge 19.5%, but Evans-Pughe has a clear idea of how this can be achieved.
"First", she details, "we have boosted our sales force with extra internal personnel.
We have refocused our branch product managers as passives or electromechanical specialists, and formed our 'Plus Desk' proactive sales team".
She continues: "A real growth area for TTI is connectors.
The DTAM (distribution total available market) for connectors is huge and currently we have only a small share.
Today, our business is split 80/20 in favour of passives.
We want that figure to be more like 70/30 in the near future, and by focusing on our partnerships with four of the top five connector lines - Tyco, Molex, FCI and Amphenol - as well as the other manufacturers in our connector portfolio, this is very achievable.
