Kemet and Molex star in Europe
TTI Electronics has named Kemet as its passive components supplier of the year, and Molex as its connector supplier of the year.

Gene Conahan, President of TTI Europe, explains the significance of the awards: "For many companies, awards like these are very nice, but they are given politically: 'if you didn't win it this year, don't worry it'll be your turn next'.
At TTI we are much more rigorous.
Each of our suppliers is scored on a variety of criteria - on time delivery, response time, reject rates etc.
If they get enough points, they are rewarded.
Most years we only give out two or three awards, yet Kemet has won every year since we started the scheme.
Molex, too, always scores highly.
With both companies, it's a measure of how good they are, that we spend most of our time discussing new business opportunities, rather than sorting out problems".
Responding for Kemet, Marc Kotelon, European Distribution Manager commented: "TTI is Kemet's largest European customer - bigger than any OEM or CEM.
We share similar management philosophies, and also the commitment to be easy to do business with.
TTI is very important to us as both a demand creator and demand fulfiller.
We have been very successful in introducing new products such as the organic tantalum capacitor line through TTI".
For Molex, European Distribution Manager, Henry Furniss was equally positive: "In the US we have been working very successfully with TTI for a long time.
In Europe, although the relationship is newer, they have grown very fast with our franchise.
TTI's business ethics and personnel are very good, which shows in the service they deliver and the business they bring to Molex.
And they are happy to support the more difficult design-in projects as well as take the commodity orders.
One example concerns a recent pay-per-view system, where TTI offered real design expertise to get the job done".
Concludes Conahan: "Congratulations to Kemet and Molex - their performance with us in Europe easily justifies these awards.
