Power inductors boast 5% DCR tolerance

New additions to Vishay's IHLP family of power inductors - including the first devices available with a 5% DCR tolerance for current-sensing applications - are now in stock at TTI.

New additions to Vishay's IHLP family of power inductors - including the first devices available with a 5% DCR tolerance for current-sensing applications - are now in stock at TTI With the lowest direct current resistance per unit inductance for their respective package sizes, the new IHLP 2525CZ 06, IHLP 2525CZ 07, IHLP 5050CE 06 and IHLP 5050CE 07 offer high-performing, space- and power-saving solutions for voltage regulator module (VRM) and DC/DC convertor designs

End product applications include: next-generation mobile devices; notebooks; desktop computers; servers; low-profile, high-current power supplies; and distributed power systems.

The compact 6.47 x 6.86mm IHLP-2525CZ series feature the lowest profile - just 3.0mm - in this package footprint.

IHLP 2525CZ 06/07 devices are specified for saturation currents ranging from 7 to 60A and for typical DCR values ranging from 1.4 to 97.7mohm.

Measuring 9 x 13.2 x 3.5mm, IHLP 5050CE 06/07 inductors are rated for saturation currents from 14 to 51A and a 1.85 to 30.86mohm DCR range.

The IHLP 2525CZ 06 and IHLP 5050CE 06 offer a 10% DCR tolerance, and the IHLP 2525CZ 07 and IHLP 5050CE 07 provide an industry-first 5% DCR tolerance.

Inductance range is 0.10 to 10uH for IHLP-2525CZ-06 and IHLP-2525CZ-07 devices, and 0.60 to 10uH for IHLP-5050CE-07 styles.

These new Vishay Dale power inductors handle high transient current spikes without saturation and operate over a frequency range up to 5MHz.

Packaged in a 100% lead-free, shielded, composite construction that reduces buzz noise to ultralow levels, the new devices are specified for an operating temperature range of -55 to +125C with high resistance to thermal shock, moisture, mechanical shock and vibration.

Because these devices include a current-sensing function, they allow designers to replace multiple parts with a single inductor, thereby lowering component count and costs. Request a free brochure from TTI Europe ...
