TTI is offering the ground breaking AO-CAP range of aluminium-polymer surface-mount capacitors from Kemet.
As well as a mated height of only 1.2mm, the FPC connectors are only 3.4mm wide.
The range is available in both top-contact and bottom-contact zero insertion force (ZIF) styles (called series 54550 and series 54548, respectively), supporting different application requirements.
The bottom contact version features an actuator, which rotates up to facilitate cable insertion.
Both versions have a pre-hold cable feature in the housing that keeps the connector in place while the actuator is being closed.
Metal solder tabs are also provided for PCB hold-down and strain-relief on the SMT tails The FPC series feature voltage and current ratings of 50V and 0.5A.
Both versions feature a contact resistance of 40mohm and an insulation resistance of 50Mohm.
The connectors also have a dielectric withstand voltage of 250V (AC).
The FPC connector series is available in 5 to 24 circuits, delivered in embossed tape packaging to meet pick-and-place requirements.
Housed in a high-temperature material, the FPC series feature phosphor bronze contacts and are rated for operation over the temperature range -20 to +85C. Request a free brochure from TTI Europe ...
