A new range of chip ferrite beads is designed to suppress noise in the power lines of high performance digital equipment such as PCs and video cameras.

TTI Europe is now supplying a new range of chip ferrite beads designed to suppress noise in the power lines of high performance digital equipment such as PCs and video cameras Manufactured by Murata, the BLM18S series offers excellent performance and is suitable for use in high current environments

Supplied in the EIAJ standard 0603 case size measuring just 1.6 x 0.8mm, the chip ferrite beads are rated at between 1.6 and 6.0A.

The high current handling has been achieved using Murata's unique multilayer technology and by optimising the internal electrode thickness.

Murata is offering a choice of five impedance values ranging from 26 to 330ohm measured at 100MHz.

The BLM18S series is fully compliant with the forthcoming RoHS legislation and suitable for use in high temperature lead-free soldering processes.
