Thick-film resistors withstand surges
Antisurge chip resistors offer reduced costs, faster and easier mounting and improved solder joint reliability over temperature cycles.
A new range of antisurge chip resistors from Panasonic can now be ordered via TTI A MELF-type resistor replacement, the new ERJ series SMD thick-film style resistors offer numerous benefits over the previous style devices, namely reduced costs, optimised mounting speed, simpler mounting equipment and better solder joint reliability against temperature cycles

Coax connectors run up to 50GHz
Covering a frequency range from DC to 50GHz, embracing over 30 different series and comprising hundreds of versions, Amphenol's coaxial connectors are available from TTI.
Panasonic succeeded in commercialising the compact thick-film type chip resistors with high power and high antisurge characteristics, meeting latest design engineer requirements and making the parts suitable for industrial, measurement and telecommunication applications as well as for automotive circuits, like ECUs (electrical control unit) and air-bag systems.
The antisurge characteristics of Panasonic's latest SMD thick film style resistors are superior to standard metal film resistors.
Three types of ERJ series SMD thick film style resistors are available: P06 (0805 size, 0.25W), P08 (1206 size, 0.33W) and P14 (1210 size, 0.5W).
The resistance range is 10ohm to 1Mohm for 0805 and 1206 size devices and ranges from 1ohm to 1Mohm for 1210 size parts.
Highly reliable and benefiting from a metal-glaze thick-film resistive element and three layers of electrodes, latest ERJ series devices are suitable for both reflow and flow soldering.
Operating temperature range is from -55 to +155C.
The components come packaged in tape and reel format. Request a free brochure from TTI Europe ...
