RoHS-compliant miniSAS interconnects ensure signal integrity to protect against data loss while significantly reducing connector size in storage systems currently using four-lane SAS.
TTI has released a range of mini serial attached SCSI (SAS) interconnects that support data transmission rates of 6 to 10Gbit/s in server and storage applications, doubling the capacity of first-generation SAS connectors.
The miniSAS the SCSI interconnects are manufactured by the 3M Electronics Solutions Division.

The 0.8mm pitch board mount connector delivers increased I/O density with higher channel capabilities, but requires less PCB space than earlier solutions.
The system offers three different tail lengths on the through-hole shields, kinked tails and SMT versions.
The connectors come in vertical and right-angle versions for internal board-mount use and a right-angle design for external board-mount use.
