Sharp is the leading handset supplier to Japan's major network operators and has developed this strong position on the back of technologically innovative phones which include tiny digital cameras.

TTPCom has established a market leading position with its GPRS protocol stack software and has signed a total of 22 licences to date.

TTPCom's GPRS technology offers the most advanced functionality - multi-slot class 12 - which allows the development of products that make maximum use of GPRS networks.

TTPCom occupies a unique position within the wireless communications market.

As the world's leading independent developer the Company licenses the latest in communications technology, including complete handset designs, to the world's foremost mobile terminal manufacturers, but does not manufacture these products itself.

In addition TTPCom has developed a multiplatform strategy in which its protocol software is compatible with silicon from many of the world's leading semiconductor manufacturers.

This provides significant flexibility for wireless device manufacturers which are able to source essential baseband or radio chips from a number of suppliers.
