Queen's Award recognises international
success

During the period assessed for the award - 2000 to 2002 - TTPCom doubled its overseas sales - from GBP 22 million to GBP 44 million.

IP cores pass Bluetooth testing
Working with test house 7 layers UK Ltd, TTPCom has qualified its Bluetooth IP core solution to version 1.1 of the Bluetooth specification.
Dr Tony Milbourn, Managing Director of TTPCom said: "We are honoured to receive a Queen's Award.
It recognises the commitment shown by everyone at TTPCom to building a successful international business and it is through their efforts over the years that TTPCom is firmly established at the forefront of the wireless communications industry".

Our objective for the future is to get more TTPCom technology into more products worldwide and, through continued international expansion of our business, to maintain the UK's position as a leading source of digital wireless technology".
In addition to Michael Marshall - Vice Lord Lieutenant for Cambridgeshire, dignitaries included David Riddington - the Lord High Sheriff, Andrew Lansley - MP for South Cambridgeshire, Councillor Robin Driver - Chairman, Cambridgeshire County Council, Robert Trimble - Chairman, Melbourn Parish Council, and Colin Charter - Vice-Chairman, Melbourn Parish Council.
Following the presentation the visitors were given a tour of the new TTPCom headquarters building and shown a demonstration of TTPCom's 3G technology, which will be enabling the next generation of mobile devices.
TTPCom has built its business almost entirely on exports, with customers spread across 15 countries.
The main markets are in Asia, North America and Europe and the company has sales and support offices in the UK, the USA, Singapore, China, Korea and Japan, plus development centres in Denmark and France.
Multilingual skills are widely available with 37 different nationalities employed worldwide.
Stephen Brice, Acting Queen's Awards Secretary, said: "Winning a Queen's Award is an excellent achievement for TTPCom.
We're delighted the Vice Lord Lieutenant was able to present it to them, and share the celebrations with staff who have contributed to its international trade.
We hope that The Queen's Award will help continue the company's success".
Brice added: "For companies that wish to emulate TTPCom's success, the closing date for this year's applications is 31st October.
Winners will be announced on Her Majesty's personal birthday next April".
