TTPCom and Maxon Telecom Co of Korea are celebrating the tenth anniversary of their business relationship.

Since March 1994 TTPCom has supplied Maxon with GSM and GPRS protocol stack software and a range of applications for mobile handsets.

Maxon was one of the first handset manufacturers to release a phone into the market that was based on independent intellectual property from TTPCom.

Since this time the company has continued to base its impressive portfolio of GSM and GPRS handsets on TTPCom's world leading software and on chipsets from Analog Devices, enjoying success throughout Asia and Europe.

"We have a very strong relationship with Maxon and celebrating this significant anniversary is testament to our flexible technology and independent business model.

As with all of our customers, we have worked closely with Maxon, enabling them to develop market-leading devices that meet consumer demands and network operator requirements", said Tony Milbourn, TTPCom's Managing Director.

"Over the past 10 years we have developed over 40 models based on TTPCom technology and today we have a large portfolio of phones, ranging from voice only GSM to fully featured GPRS handsets with multimedia messaging and gaming.

TTPCom's support has enabled us to really focus on what our customers want and deliver superior handsets to the global market", said SP Hong, CEO of Maxon Telecom Co.
