A cost effective alternative to established LSA+ copper wire termination is at the heart of the new CONNECT+ voice and data system launched in the UK by data and telecom specialist TUK The CONNECT+ 10-pair IDC connection strip provides the same high quality as the LSA+, is fully compatible with the world industry standard and is very competitively priced, says the company

Already tested and proven in overseas markets, the CONNECT+ connection strip offers a choice of plating specifications to meet virtually all requirements, from economy type to premium BT specifications.

Insulation displacement connectors create permanent gas-tight contacts without compromising cable integrity, eliminating the need to wire strip, screw or solder.

Manufactured to ISO 9001 quality standards, the complete CONNECT+ range comprises connection boxes, insertion tools, earth strips, protection magazines and label holders, fully compatible with the established industry standard, enabling distributors and installers to adopt the system with ease.

The CONNECT+ range is also UK OFTEL approved to NS/G/1235 W100025 for use in standard telecommunications wiring distribution systems.

"We believe there is enormous potential for CONNECT+ in the UK and we are currently appointing a network of distributors to service the anticipated demand", says TUK's sales director Stephen Mercer.

"The market now has a truly economic and completely compatible alternative to LSA+".
