Cost-effective alternative networking
A cost effective alternative to established LSA+ copper wire termination is at the heart of the new CONNECT+ voice and data system launched in the UK by data and telecom specialist TUK.
Many services connected via Category 5e or 6 cable only require two of the four pairs the cable provides; two pairs may therefore be unused.
The cable economiser transposes the used pairs, taking advantage of the unused pairs.
Each cable economiser features two ports that enable the connection of two different devices (such as PC, telephone or fax) to one four-pair cable.
Both devices are then continuously available.
Easily mounted onto a desk or wall, cable economisers are supplied in pairs, with one connected to a wall outlet and the other to a patch panel using flying leads.
The device is available in three formats: data/data, data/voice and voice/voice.
