TUV Product Service has redeveloped its website.
In his new role, Ormerod will assume operational responsibility for the company's UK telecomms business and will be working in close co-operation with Dr Michael Kappelan, the newly appointed Divisional Manager for Telecommunications Services, who is based at TUV SUD Product Service in Munich, Germany and is responsible for the Telecom Division's global business strategy.
Ormerod has worked within the telecomms environment throughout his time at TUV Product Service, originally employed in 1998 by BABT, now a TUV Product Service company.
This new role involves responsibility for both the TUV Product Service and BABT brands in the telecomms markets.
Ormerod comments: "This is a very exciting time for both myself and the organisation, as TUV SUD plans to grow its global telecomms business through partnerships, new appointments and using the existing TUV SUD infrastructure and network of offices in Europe, Asia and America".
BABT recently announced its appointment as a Foreign Certification Body (FCB) for Canada.
European FCBs are recognised by Industry Canada through the EU-Canada MRA and can issue approval certificates in accordance with the Canadian regulations.
BABT is one of a very few organisations worldwide to be able to accept applications for Canada and process them through to approval.
