Handset testing focuses on compliance
TUV Product Service is reorganising its UK cellular handset testing business to concentrate on providing regulatory and related testing services to the GSM and WCDMA handset markets.
Following a strategic review of its GSM cellular handset business, TUV Product Service has decided to focus its UK division on providing regulatory compliance and closely related testing services like EMC, SAR, HAC, safety, radio, audio, SIM, environmental simulation and battery assessments However, TUV Product Service's UK operations will continue to provide limited PTCRB and GCF conformance testing for GSM and 3G equipment as an associate PTCRB laboratory
