On 1st January 2002, certificates for IT equipment evaluated under EN 60950:1992+A1+A2 expired.

To avoid total cancellation of certificates that show EN 60950:1992+A1+A2, and to have products re-evaluated according to the latest version of this standard, customers are advised to contact TUV International UK now.

The extent of re-evaluation - anything from paperwork to possible retesting - will depend on the type of IT product.

A redesign will seldom be necessary since the new amendments to the standard will, in most cases, better define, ease or reorganise the requirements, in order to incorporate new technologies.
