Representing a comprehensive collection of IC sockets and adapters covering a multitude of applications, Augat brand products are now available under the Tyco Electronics banner following the acquisition of the Electronics Division of Thomas and Betts.

The range includes basic through-hole DIP, SIP, PLCC and PGA configurations right through to state-of-the-art solutions for surface-mount for the computer, appliance, telecommunications and consumer markets.

Augat surface-mount offerings cover DIP, LIF PGA, low-profile PLCC and SOJ devices.

They are designed to provide excellent compliance to the board surface and to withstand the high temperatures typical of vapour phase and infrared reflow processing.

In addition to such conventional offerings, the Augat range also encompasses display, press-fit, and speciality sockets as well as adapters and IC removal tools.

Speciality sockets offer diverse solutions for crystal oscillators, transistors, lamps and fuses.

Products under the QPL regime are also offered.
