Low-profile relays switch strongly

Schrack PT power relays from Tyco Electronics feature a modern design with AC and DC coils and a choice of 2-, 3- and 4-pole variants with contact ratings of 12, 10 and 6A, respectively.

Schrack PT power relays from Tyco Electronics feature a modern design with AC and DC coils and a choice of 2-, 3- and 4-pole variants with contact ratings of 12, 10 and 6A, respectively, and rated breaking capacities of 3, 2.5 and 1.5kVA Representing a new generation in relay construction based on advanced design principles, these new relays offer improved performance in areas such as reduced coil consumption, without loss of contact pressure, a switching power increase of 20% and a reduction in height from 36 to 29mm

An integral, optional, LED provides visual indication of function.

Lloyds registered, PT relays are manufactured on a state-of-the-art, fully automated line ensuring very high quality levels.

Reliability is built into the design of the relay by using fewer integrated parts, eliminating the need for traditional wires and internal soldering.

Moreover, PT relays are environmentally friendly, using cadmium free silver-nickel-90/10 contact material and recyclable carton bar packaging.

In both plug-in and PCB mounting versions, PT power relays offer long life operation, are approved to VDE 0435 at an ambient temperature of 70C and are designed for use in equipment which must meet the European Low Voltage Directive.

The relays are also approved to VDE and cUL for international applications.

Available in both AC and DC coils, power consumption has been reduced by 30% in comparison to similar models and sensitivity significantly improved, an important factor where cabinet temperature needs to be controlled.

A mechanical operate indicator and manual test tab, which may be locked in position, are standard on all models, as is a colour coding system for easy identification of AC or DC coils.

A complete range of sockets and accessories complement the plug-in version of the PT relay.

The sockets incorporate clamp terminals with captive pozidrive screws large enough for 2 by 2.5mm cables.

They can also accept a range of plug-in indication and protection modules.

The plastic retaining clip incorporates an ejection function, allowing simple replacement of a relay, even on a densely packed DIN rail.

Snap-on identification tabs ensure professional labelling. Request a free brochure from Tyco Electronics UK ...
