OEG T9C series low-cost relays from Tyco Electronics can be mounted directly onto a PCB or are available with Faston terminals for PCB or flange mounting.

OEG T9C series low-cost relays from Tyco Electronics can be mounted directly onto a PCB or are available with Faston terminals for PCB or flange mounting.

They are capable of switching 30A in SPST and 20A in SPDT arrangements.

Contacts are silver cadmium and typically offer a mechanical life expectancy of 10 million operations.

Open-frame versions are also available.

Aimed at a variety of industrial, commercial and residential applications, the relays meet UL 873 and UL 508 spacing.

Load connections are made via quick connect terminals and safety wells accept insulated female quick connect terminals.

Coil power consumption is 1.0W with nominal voltage ratings of between 5 and 110V.

Maximum coil power is 2.8W.

A variety of features beyond just low-cost make the T9C relays an ideal solution for use in white goods such as washing machines, showers, water heaters, power supplies, HVAC units and domestic controls.

These include a high switching capacity despite its small package size and flexible mounting possibilities, including Faston tabs.

Further specifications include initial dielectric strength of 2.5kV between contact to coil and 1.5kV between open contacts, initial contact resistance of 75mohm, -55 to +85C operating temperature, as well as 15ms maximum operate and release times, including bounce.

The relays are designed to withstand the rigours of automated soldering and cleaning processes, as well as high levels of shock and vibration.
