Timing relays provide a precise delay
Available from CTT, a part of Tyco Electronics, Agastat 7000 series timing relays provide timing ranges from milliseconds to 60min, fully calibrated in linear increments.
Available from CTT, a part of Tyco Electronics, Agastat 7000 series timing relays provide timing ranges from milliseconds to 60min, fully calibrated in linear increments.
Using advanced design concepts and custom-made components, these timers offer circuit designers a degree of accuracy and versatility matched only by the most sophisticated electronic controls.
Agastat 7000 series timing relays are used in a wide variety of applications such as delay functions on doors in trains and public transport vehicles, railway level crossings and demanding industrial applications where timing reliability is a critical function, as well in the oil, gas and nuclear industries.
As a functional off-delay timer, the relays are ideal for any application that needs to keep equipment running for a short time after a power outage to either allow emergency power to kick in or shut systems down gracefully.
Every component in the Agastat timing relay has been expressly designed for its specific role in the overall timing function.
The relay has three main self-contained sub-assemblies, including a calibrated timing head that does not use a traditional needle valve, but instead circulates air under controlled pressure through a variable orifice to provide linearly adjustable timing.
The patented design provides instant recycling, easy adjustment and long service life under severe conditions.
The other two modular subassemblies are a precision-wound potted coil and snap-action switch assembly.
Each sub-assembly forms a self-contained module, which is then assembled at the factory with the other two to afford a wide choice of operating types, coil voltages and timing ranges.
Other features include large serrated knobs with high-resolution markings visible from all angles, surface or panel mounting, industry-leading repeatability at all points on the time range, and easy-to-reach screw or Faston terminals on the face of the unit.
Plug-in versions are also available.
