New from Tyco Electronics, the PCH is a compact, miniature 1-form C 5A-rated power PCB relay, an addition to the OEG relay range.

Compact in size for PCB use, the miniature 1-form C 5A power PCB relay offers a high dielectric surge strength of 8kV.

The single-pole relay is a low-cost changeover relay, which has an industry standard pin-out.

Dimensions are 20 x 10 x 15.2mm making it ideal for PCB termination in domestic appliances.

It weighs approximately 7g.

This durable relay is constructed using cadmium-free AgSnO contacts and is UL, CSA and VDE-approved.

It is enclosed in a sealed plastic case for added reliability.

The dielectric strength between coil and contacts is rated at 4kV AC, 50/60Hz.

Minimum load is 100mA at 5V DC with switching rates of 300 operations per minute at no load and 20 operations per minute at rated load.

The coil power requirement is only 400mW in designs from 3 to 48V DC.

The relay operates in the temperature range -30 to +70C with an operating humidity of 20 to 85% RH.

It is durable and offers an expected mechanical life of 5 million operations with an expected electrical life of 100,000 operations at rated load.

This level of performance makes the relay ideal for use in domestic appliances such as air conditioners, refrigerators and microwave ovens.
